Outdoor swimming-pool Osterholz in Stockach

Summer 2004 is much welcome: The outdoor swimming-pool Osterholz in the town of Stockach is shining in new polish after a careful overall renovation and modernization. More beautiful, recreative and modern – this had been the targets before the construction work started in September 2003. Hereby, the Stadtwerke Stockach GmbH has invested one million euro in the project and thus created a unique attraction for the whole region.

There is hardly any place within the swimming pool area which was left unaffected. The nonswimming and swimming pools were divided into two separate constructions and provided with a new foil coating in brilliant blue. At a length of 50 metre, the swimming pool now offers appropriate training conditions and it even allows swimming competitions. In addition, the nonswimming-pool was extended to more than 30 metre length while the youngest water fans can now cool off in the separate paddling pool. And the new 1 metre-, 3 metre- and 5 metre diving platforms with an extra pool will be a challenge to all courageous swimmers. The new small and broad slides, particularly designed for the outdoor swimming pool Osterholz, will provide much fun to all bathers alike.

A modern filtering technology will guarantee an optimal water quality. The average water temperature of 24°C throughout the season is perfect for both, swimming or just relaxing in the water.

Those who enjoy sports will get their money worth with facilities for badminton, beach volleyball, beach soccer and mini basketball. Strong muscle power is requested at the four mounted fitness units.

In contrast, the extensive sunbathing areas and the new sunbathing steps invite for relaxing and sunbathing. Several large trees will protect you from too much sun. Besides, we did not forget your physical well-being during your visit. So you can stock up your energy reserves in the bistro with garden terrace. Here you are served delicious meals, little snacks, warm and hot beverages and not to forget, you can choose from a variety of ice-creams. In the new designed sanitary sector you find a toilet for special needs and one appropriate for toddlers.

The integral concept allowed to realize an object which offers an all-around-package for families spending a whole day there. Involving bathers in the planning team indicated that, from the very early stage, the individual needs of bathing guests have been considered. The result is a perfectly balanced concept which is unparalleled in the whole region. Embedded into the beautiful scenery around the town of Stockach, the swimming-pool Osterholz is the perfect place for a stopover during hiking tours and journeys through the area. A large car park free of charge is to be found in front of the swimming-pool.
